Best Tinnitus Supplement? Why No Pill Wins on Evidence
The best tinnitus supplement, on current evidence, does not exist. Cochrane reviews found little or no benefit for ginkgo and no evidence for zinc, and the 2026 guideline update does not recommend supplements for persistent, bothersome tinnitus. Hearing exams, talk therapy and hearing aid checks have stronger support. Quietum Plus is one example, not a winner.

What is the best tinnitus supplement?
No tinnitus supplement has been shown to be best, or even to work. Experts say supplements advertised for tinnitus are not proven.
The 2014 guideline advised against ginkgo, melatonin, zinc and other supplements. The 2026 update does not recommend supplements for persistent, bothersome tinnitus (AAO-HNSF Tinnitus Update 2026).
That is why we do not publish a top-five list. Any list would rank products that no trial can separate.
| Supplement | What was found |
|---|---|
| Ginkgo | Little or no effect in 12 trials (Cochrane, Ginkgo for Tinnitus) |
| Zinc | No evidence of benefit in 3 trials (Cochrane, Zinc for Tinnitus) |
| Melatonin and others | Advised against in the 2014 guideline |
| Herbal blends | No trial of the finished product |
Why do lists of top rated tinnitus supplements mislead?
Top-rated lists mislead because the ratings do not measure results. They often reflect marketing spend, affiliate pay or a page's design.
The FTC expects paid promoters to disclose their ties (FTC, Endorsement Guides Q&A). We earn from Quietum Plus order links, so we will not call it the best. A high star score also cannot show a ringing change, since ringing varies on its own.
Read price claims with care too. A low price per bottle tells you nothing about the amount inside.
What is in it, in what amount, tested by whom, and what happens if I ask for my money back?
What helps tinnitus more than a supplement?
A hearing exam, cognitive behavioral therapy and a hearing aid check help more, according to the guideline (AAO-HNSF Tinnitus Update 2026). These steps match the cause and the distress, not just the sound.
Noise exposure, hearing loss, earwax and some medicines all cause ringing. A clinician can sort these. Never stop a prescribed medicine on your own. Ask your prescriber.
Read the tinnitus basics guide for causes and who treats them.

Quietum Plus is one example of a hearing-focused capsule, not a proven tinnitus product. The bottle front says "Clear Mind", "Memory & Focus" and "Mood Support", and does not mention hearing.
The sales page lists 18 ingredients, with no amounts and no serving printed. Zinc is on the list, and its amount is not printed. Ginkgo is not. See the ingredients page.

01FAQ
Best supplement questions
Is there a tinnitus supplement that has been proven in trials?
No supplement has earned a place in tinnitus guidelines. Trials of ginkgo and zinc showed little or no benefit. Treatments with better support include talk therapy, hearing aid evaluation and treating the cause that a clinician finds.
Can vitamins help tinnitus if I am low in a nutrient?
A clinician can test for a deficiency and treat it, which is different from taking a pill for ringing. Guidelines do not recommend supplements for persistent tinnitus in general. Ask your doctor before adding zinc, B vitamins or anything else.
Why do some tinnitus supplements claim to be number one?
Because "number one" is a marketing phrase, not a test result. No trial ranks tinnitus supplements against each other. Treat any ranking as advertising, and check whether the page earns money when you click.
