Tribulus Terrestris Side Effects and Evidence
Tribulus terrestris side effects were no more common than placebo in one meta-analysis of eight studies in men with erectile dysfunction. That same analysis found no difference in total testosterone. What are the side effects of tribulus terrestris?
In the best study we cite, tribulus did not cause more adverse events than placebo. The meta-analysis pooled eight studies in men with erectile dysfunction (Suharyani et al., Tribulus ED Meta-analysis).
That is reassuring but narrow. The men had one condition, the studies were short, and the analysis does not describe the exact products. A capsule that blends many herbs is a different case.
A review of herbal sexual enhancers adds a caution. Few data exist on the side effects of several of these plants, and interactions worry researchers more than the herbs alone (Brunetti et al., Herbal Sexual Enhancers).

Does tribulus raise testosterone?
No, not in that meta-analysis. Total testosterone did not differ between tribulus and placebo, even though erectile function scores were higher (Suharyani et al., Tribulus ED Meta-analysis).
So the common idea that tribulus raises hormone levels is not supported by the study we cite. We make no such claim for Quietum Plus either.

Is tribulus terrestris safe for daily use?
We cannot call it safe for everyone. The meta-analysis found no extra adverse events, but it covered men with erectile dysfunction over short periods. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about daily use, especially if you take regular medicine.
Does tribulus help erectile dysfunction?
Scores on erectile function questionnaires were higher with tribulus than placebo in the meta-analysis we cite. That is a limited finding in a specific group. It does not apply to hearing, and it says nothing about a blended capsule.
